Folding electric bike

1454598_573240809415875_380128574_nAlan had a stroke 5 years ago and since then has had to learn to walk, use his arm and he achieved this with lots of hard work and going to Riding for the Disabled at Totara Park where his work with the horses strengthened him. Although he cannot speak he made it quite clear he wanted more independence and bought himself a bike. This was great but he lives in a hilly areas and did not have the strength to bike back up the hill to get home. He then went on you-tube and eventually found an electric bike. From that point on it was his mission to get one for himself. Recently we took the trip out to Massey and he chose the folding bike which means that I can put it in the back of the car. What a transformation. He has been out riding and loves being able to ZOOOM zoom back home without assistance. He even rode from Manukau to Papatoetoe and took great pride in showing his GP his new bike. The GP was so impressed he took it for a spin around the waiting room then down the street. I thoroughly recommend these bikes for anyone who has a disability and doesn’t want to be restricted to mobility scooters. Thanks Volto.
